Maritza Texeira, native of Puerto Rico, received her earliest culinary training in her mother's kitchen. She has since developed her art in classrooms and on-the-job, influenced by other great chefs. From playing with the picante flavors of Mexico, and the Southwest to emulating the rich palate and meticulous presentation of French cuisine, Maritza has developed a unique and diverse approach to cooking. She enjoys exploring the health benefits of utilizing fresh, high quality ingredients to make the most complex dish simply delicious.
